IS THIS CORN HAND SHUCKED?

I know all of you have been hanging on the edge of your seats for my next post... Well, the wait is finally over. Ha, ha.

I just don't have much to post, since those who read it already know what's going on in my life. It's still fun to post it anyway.

Let's start with today. I was a pie making maniac today. I had to take a break to get my recommend signed by the stake presidency. I reeked of burnt pie sticks (I burned 2 batches and had to make more pie crust), and I had flower everywhere on my shirt. Connie and I made 2 lemon meringue pies... I made the crust (Yes, I learned how to master the art of flaky, delectable pie crust from my Mom, if any one's wondering). The family came over to enjoy a piece or two.

So, for our big Sunday meal, we had pork, mashed potatoes, gravy, salad, and... corn on the cob. One of my favorites, and apparently one of Abbeys favorites. It was hilarious watching her eat and moan like Bob Wiley. It was cute. "Faye, is this corn hand shucked?"

Lets see... what else? Oh, I started painting Cameron's birthday present. I hope it turns out nicely. The American flag is harder to paint than I thought! Which reminds me... Cameron's birthday party was very fun. Good idea to have it at the spa, Jenny. It was perfect... except for the shirt I wore made me look like I had football pads on my shoulders. No puff sleeves for me.

Other than working and getting my life organized, I haven't really been up to much. I'm trying to float along until my vacation in 2 weeks... NYC! This vacation is desperately needed. I'm excited... I barely remember New York when I was little, and I'm glad I'm going with Cam and Jenny (who seem to go lots!). After this vacation I have to wait 5 more months for the next one! That's okay... I need time to get bikini ready for Kaanapali beach. I just hope everyone can come to Hawaii in January.

My 23rd birthday is on Tuesday. Yay! Another year older, and wiser too... that's for sure. Man, my 22nd year SUCKED! Let's just hope my 23rd will be better. I'll make sure it will be : )

Help me!

I need help deciding what kind of car to get! I've decided to trade my BMW for something that is more user friendly. The jerk who gave it to me is cancelling the 100,000 mile warranty, and there is no use keeping the car with out that! I don't make enough money to get stuff fixed if it goes caput. Give me your opinions, please!

SHE'S ALL MINE!!

Well, Black Beauty aka OXY is all mine now (get it?!?)! I had to meet the devil himself at the DMV to get the title in my name and get it registered. He took with him Blake Bennett. I think he thought he would intimidate me, nah... he was always nice to me. I wasn't worried though. I had Officer Merrill with me. Thanks for going with me Tim! Now all I need is insurance. I've gotten a couple of quotes... but I really don't know what I'm doing! It seems Progressive is the best... what does everyone else use? She is starting to be a thorn in my side though. I have to get the oil changed, new tires, and the brake pads light is on... sheesh! I'm thinking about trading it in for a cheaper, more user friendly car, but I'm not sure. It might be a stupid idea because it is all paid for and has a 100,00 mile warranty with BMW. Regardless, Connie says only biotches drive Beemers... and I don't want people to think that about me! OXY is the ultimate driving machine...

Birthday Season

I realize this is a TERRIBLE cut and paste job. This post is about the beloved birthday season. The season of a million birthday cakes. The season of extra poundage. The season of presents = happiness! Yes, that's right. Let's make a list, shall we? AUGUST: 2nd- Cameron, 14th- Carrie, 22nd- Tim, 24th- Connie, 30th- Wyatt. Am I missing anyone? I'm not including Birthdays we just had... Christine's, Dad's, Jared's, Luke's! We've had chocolate, vanilla, and lemon cake so far (my favorite, surprisingly, has been the vanilla with white chocolate frosting...mmmm. Good choice Christine!). I've decided Christine is the best at cake baking. I am proud of myself for only having one small piece each Birthday. I'm not going to lie...it's been difficult. I'm sure it will be very rewarding in the end. HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVERYONE! I would like vanilla party chip cake Christine.

MY LONG LOST TWIN

That's Better
