I had such a fun time in NYC with Cameron and Jenny. Here we are the first night there. We had delicious New York style pizza at Grimaldi's under the Brooklyn Bridge... yum! I had my first subway ride, we walked across the Brooklyn Bridge, and we also walked around Time Square and had a Jamba Juice!!
Here's the Empire State Building. A glowing fog was lingering toward the top that night.
This was taken in the stair well to the Brooklyn Bridge. Cameron was taking the picture. From left is Candice, Chase, Brad, Jenny, Val (friend from high school), and me. Brad and Val were our tour guides that night. They live in NYC.

IS THIS CORN HAND SHUCKED?
I know all of you have been hanging on the edge of your seats for my next post... Well, the wait is finally over. Ha, ha.
I just don't have much to post, since those who read it already know what's going on in my life. It's still fun to post it anyway.
Let's start with today. I was a pie making maniac today. I had to take a break to get my recommend signed by the stake presidency. I reeked of burnt pie sticks (I burned 2 batches and had to make more pie crust), and I had flower everywhere on my shirt. Connie and I made 2 lemon meringue pies... I made the crust (Yes, I learned how to master the art of flaky, delectable pie crust from my Mom, if any one's wondering). The family came over to enjoy a piece or two.
So, for our big Sunday meal, we had pork, mashed potatoes, gravy, salad, and... corn on the cob. One of my favorites, and apparently one of Abbeys favorites. It was hilarious watching her eat and moan like Bob Wiley. It was cute. "Faye, is this corn hand shucked?"
Lets see... what else? Oh, I started painting Cameron's birthday present. I hope it turns out nicely. The American flag is harder to paint than I thought! Which reminds me... Cameron's birthday party was very fun. Good idea to have it at the spa, Jenny. It was perfect... except for the shirt I wore made me look like I had football pads on my shoulders. No puff sleeves for me.
Other than working and getting my life organized, I haven't really been up to much. I'm trying to float along until my vacation in 2 weeks... NYC! This vacation is desperately needed. I'm excited... I barely remember New York when I was little, and I'm glad I'm going with Cam and Jenny (who seem to go lots!). After this vacation I have to wait 5 more months for the next one! That's okay... I need time to get bikini ready for Kaanapali beach. I just hope everyone can come to Hawaii in January.
My 23rd birthday is on Tuesday. Yay! Another year older, and wiser too... that's for sure. Man, my 22nd year SUCKED! Let's just hope my 23rd will be better. I'll make sure it will be : )
