4 JOBS I'VE HAD
Candle Dipper:
It was really cool. In the Shannon Southpark mall in Georgia, a lady made tons of money making customized fancy candles with many layers and colors. I got to dip the candles in all the colors, and then hand it to her to carve and twist while it was still soft. She let me make one once, but she didn't let me keep it!
Janitor:
I was paid 20 bucks each Saturday to clean Sentry Fire & Home Health... my grandpa's store in Lakeside, AZ. It wasn't that bad, but the men's bathroom was disgusting! I shall never forget it.
Caterer:
I would help cater tennis matches for Cafe Pig in Peachtree City Georgia. My job was to ask the old farts... "Ice tea or water?". That was it!
Spray tan girl:
When I worked for the Las Sendas Athletic Club as an Aesthetician, one of my services was spray tanning (like an airbrush). I once had an old man come in, and he stripped down to his saggy, dingy tighty whities. If I wasn't careful, I might have seen something I didn't want to!
4 MOVIES I COULD WATCH OVER & OVER
The Holiday:
This movie lifts my spirits! When I first saw it in theater, I would catch myself smiling like an idiot the entire time! Also, what single girl (or any girl for that matter) doesn't dream about going on vacation and finding the perfect man for you who looks like Jude Law!
Pride & Prejudice:
The one with Kiera Knightly, not the A & E one... although, that one is good too.
Memoirs of a Geisha:
That culture fascinates me. Also, it's one of those epic movies where the heroine actually ends up with the hero she loves.
Aeon Flux:
I know it's Sci-Fi... but I love it! It's so cool!
4 PLACES I'VE LIVED
Fort Campbell, Kentucky
Peachtree City, Georgia

New York City
Vancouver, B.C.
4 FAVORITE DESSERTS
Bananas Foster:
I'm getting pretty good. I don't almost catch the house on fire anymore!
Pazookie from Oreganos:
The white chocolate/macadamia nut one.
Chocolate Fondue:
Strawberries are the best with it.
Dump Cake:
Christine, you've opened my eyes!
4 FAVORITE DINNERS
Tacos:
So much flava!
Chicken Parmigiana:
My Speciality!
Homemade pizza with olives on it and fresh garlic butter on the crust!
Beans and Cornbread:
I add a little more sugar in the cornbread.
4 WEBSITES I VISIT DAILY
Every one's blog:
I get sad whenever I visit yours Cameron and Jenny!

4 HOBBIES I HAVE
Read:
My favorite to do. I'm getting better at gradually reading the book instead of reading it all within 1 to 2 days like a maniac!

THE ALL SEEING EYE...
Okay, I know that it's really bad to go to a psychic... but we had one here at XS all day long. I don't believe in any of that kind of stuff (Tarot Cards, etc.), so I thought it would be interesting to see what she would say. It was actually pretty accurate... which was a little disconcerting. The lady was a complete nut job with sparkly clothes and everything. After picking a few cards from random decks, she started talking nonstop. At that point, the Salon Coordinator interrupted us to tell the psychic that her next client was here. I had only been with her for less than 2 minutes... and I really wanted to know what she was going to say! Everyone else I work with had seen her and told me all about what she told them. One girl even told me the psychic told her that she would meet a man within 30 to 60 days that would "knock her socks off"! I wanted to hear that kind of thing too, dang it. So, I decided to wait until she was finished with all of her clients to sneak in there and try to get her to finish what she started with me. I waited for a while, and decided to let the massage therapist go ahead instead of me (by this time it was 4:30, and the psychic takes 30 minutes for a reading... and she was leaving at 5). I was pretty proud of myself. The psychic told the massage therapist that she would have a great job opportunity in 2 to 3 weeks... we'll see how that pans out! I guess I'll never know what's in the cards for me...
Meanwhile, one of the psychics had a girl come along with her. She was applying makeup to herself from our makeup display, and my job was to get her to stop! I asked her if I could do her makeup, and she nodded and gave me a dreamy smile with vacant eyes. She was definitely a free spirit. She would barely talk, she just pointed and did her own sign language (like pretending she was putting mascara on, and lipstick). I would tell her to close her eyes, and she would lean her head back like she was falling asleep, or like she was being hypnotized. When I was applying her eye shadow, she wouldn't close her eyes... but she did cross them! WEIRD! She was even breathing heavily! When I was done, I said she looked like she was ready for a hot date. She said, "What's that?" I explained to her that she looked pretty enough to go out with a boy to the movies or something! Then she said, "Can I have a hug?" So I hugged her, and she held me for a while with her head on my shoulder. It was definitely strange, to say the least!

No More
I realize that I have posted TONS of NYC pictures... and guess what, I have lots more too! I say, though, enough is enough. I am putting a stop to it now. New York was a really fun vacation. The people there are all so different and interesting to watch. I think what I liked most about the people there is that they can wear whatever they want, and no one cares! I wish I could do that here. It is very, very different from here. I think everyone should experience it for themselves at least once in their life. Don't worry about getting mugged (like I did at first). I didn't feel threatened once while we were there. Not even in the subway at 1 am, or in a dark alleyway.

West Village
MAGNOLIA BAKERY
So, I bought 4 cupcakes from this bakery. I don't know why I got so many! I got one chocolate, two vanilla, and one red velvet!! My favorite was the vanilla... yum!
They had all kinds of cake to choose from too. It was a really cute bakery.
Me and Jenny with our box of cupcakes.
The West Village was probably my favorite part of the city. It was really quaint and quiet. There were cute markets that sold pretty flowers like the one below. There were book stores, playgrounds, cafes, etc. The apartments were really cute too... most of them were brick. Next trip I think it will be fun to spend an entire day there.
Here is Cameron browsing in the guitar store. His guitar teacher, Jerry, grew up in New York and recommended this store for their guitars. We actually met with Jerry one night for dinner... he happened to be in NYC while we were there!
A lot of celebrities live in Greenwich Village. I know that Julianne Moore lives there. I think Heidi Klum and Seal live there... at least they go to an ice cream shop we went to.

CENTRAL PARK
It was neat to see Central Park. I've seen tons of movies and read lots of books with Central Park in them... but seeing it personally was really cool. I didn't realize how BIG it is. We saw less that 1/2 of it, I think. It was really pretty; Green grass and trees and pretty flowers. An oasis in the heart of the city. It was cool to see out the airplane window... a huge rectangle of green smack dab in the middle of a sea of gray. I think if I lived in NYC I would jog there, and take a lot of walks too. We might have been there when Brad and Angelina took their kids to Central Park to ride on the famous carousel.
Cameron and Jenny look like they have been superimposed in that picture, huh?
This bridge has been in a couple of movies. It's been in Uptown Girls and Keeping the Faith... I think. We took a ride on the "Handsome Cab". It was pretty hot and humid that day, so the horses really smelled horrid! Too bad I could smell that day! Our Cabbie was Irish... I liked his accent. He was kind of rude though.
By the looks of it... Cameron looks like he couldn't smell. Poor Cam!
Central Park was one of the highlights of the trip (everything was a highlight!). We didn't get to see Strawberry Fields (is that what it's called?) where John Lennon lived and was shot. Maybe next time.

SWEETS and TREATS!
We went to Serendipity 3 twice. The first time I couldn't breath out of my nose or taste... so I wanted to go once more when I was a little better so I could actually TASTE the deliciousness! Boy, am I glad we did! They are famous for their Fffrrrrozen Hot Chocolate... which was very good. I got the sundae, and it was divine. Cameron and Jenny have been to NYC a couple of times, and they have told me they like to go to Serendipity more than once a trip. I now understand why. Its a pretty cool place... and the wait wasn't that bad.
FFFRRROZEN HOT CHOCOLATE
Our waiter laughed at Cameron when he ordered the hot herbal tea. I'm sure it felt good on his sore throat. I feel bad because I'm the one who got him sick in the first place!
My sundae was HUGE! The picture doesn't do it justice. This was the "cowards portion"... I wonder what the regular portion looks like?
